FAQ

  • What is your Story?
Our journey begins in 1972 with a resilient woman who traded milk and oils to provide for her family. Witnessing her meticulous crafting of products and the love it garnered, I saw her dedication. The woman facing struggles was my mother, "RAMATA," who passed away in 1997, just a few months before my high school graduation In 2018, my sister's hair loss became the catalyst for a transformative journey, not only to restore her hair but also her confidence. From these experiences, BABARACINE BEAUTY emerged. We aim to be the preferred destination where both women and men discover top-quality products to safeguard and enhance their hair and body, carrying forward the legacy of quality established decades ago.

  • Is your oils fair-trade?
Fair Trade & Sustainability Fair trade and sustainability are things we care deeply about and is reflected in every oil that we source and share with our clients. Raising the floor The fair-trade movement is an amazing movement that helped ensure a fair wage for mass growers & producers of oil where the cost and quality of the oil was traditionally lower i.e. commodity grade oil. With regards to specialty grade oil The rise of the specialty-grade oil market (top 5% of coffee in terms of quality) has driven up demand and price for top-quality oil which has led to much higher pay for farmers who farm specialty-grade oil. This isn't to say that there aren’t still some wage issues for a small number of specialty oil growers, but the vast majority (and all of the farms we work with) pay above "fair-trade" prices. Not only because it's the right thing to do, but also because it helps invest in quality coffee year after year. a great win, win, win for everyone. The farmers are directly incentivized to invest in oil quality and sustainability year over year. And we all get to support, invest in, and enjoy quality oil year over year.
  • How organic is the oil?
Each batch of oil is cold pressured to order! Our team prepare every morning, with each batch of oil being sold often within hours if not minutes of being shipped out.
  • Do I have to use your recommendations?
You don’t have to, but we encourage that you do if you can.
  • How much oil comes in each bag?
We offer both 4oz and 2oz bag options and mix collection of oils. Each 4oz bag will serve about 60 serving.
  • How can i use your oil to grow hair?
Using essential oils like Rosemary, Castor oil, and Lavender can be beneficial for promoting hair growth. Here are some general guidelines on how to use these oils: Rosemary Oil: Mix a few drops of rosemary oil with a carrier oil (such as coconut or jojoba oil). Massage the mixture into your scalp gently. Leave it on for at least 30 minutes before washing it out with shampoo. Do this a few times a week. Castor Oil: Warm the castor oil slightly. Apply it to your scalp and massage in circular motions. Leave it on for a few hours or overnight. Wash it out with shampoo. Use this treatment once a week. Lavender Oil: Mix a few drops of lavender oil with a carrier oil. Apply the mixture to your scalp and massage. Leave it on for at least 30 minutes before washing. You can also add a few drops of lavender oil to your regular shampoo or conditioner
